Dr. Stephelynn DeLuca graduated from Harvard University with her Doctorate of Medical Science (DMSc) and aCertificate in Orthodontics after completing her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) at the University of Toronto andHarvard’s General Practice Residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. Throughout her studies, Dr. DeLuca received several awards of distinction for excellence in orthodontics, oral anatomy, oral surgery, and patient management. She was also inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. Dr. DeLuca has conducted research on the impact of smoking on dental implants, vitamin D and bone metabolism. Her research has been published in leading scientific journals. Dr. DeLuca is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and registered Orthodontic Specialist with the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario. She is an active member of the Ontario Association of Orthodontists, the Canadian Association of Orthodontists and the Harvard Society for the Advancement of Orthodontics. Born and raised in Toronto, Dr. DeLuca moved back to the GTA to be close to her family and fulfill her dream of opening a practice with her husband, Dr. Mauricio Berco. While it was fun to be in Boston when the Red Sox won the World Series, Dr. DeLuca is happy to be back home where hockey is number one and Tim Hortons brews the coffee. When not seeing patients you can find Dr. DeLuca coaching and playing hockey, taking long walks with her husband and cooking for family and friends.
